JOHN LEWIS - "ACTIVITY PLANNER" PROJECT

UX Designer - UI Designer

Working with Business Analysts and Stakeholders in John Lewis head office, I took on UX and UI design to create a tablet and desktop Web Application to enable branches to track and plan events whilst keeping an eye on global events handed down by Head Office planning teams.

For this project I used:

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Balsamiq

  • Azure

  • Atom

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • Javascript

  • jQuery

  • NodeJS

USER JOURNEY

Of the four user groups in the Activity Planner, each group has different access rights for editing and viewing events.

I designed a User Journey document to demonstrate the actions that each level would be able to perform.

SKETCHES

While discussing requirements with stakeholders and Business Analysts, I sketched a few ideas down to discuss whether we were all on the same page in regard to functionality and overall look and feel of the application.

INTERACTIVE STYLE GUIDE

After consulting the developers and understanding the tech stack, I built an interactive style guide using HTML, CSS and Javascript so developers could use it for reference and even copy out snippets of code for various elements.
